Careers Information, Advice and Guidance Progression Co-Ordinator – to start as soon as possible
Salary: Grade 6, scale points 18 - 20 (£35,661-36,726)
35 hours/week, 52 weeks/year

We are looking for a Careers, Information, Advice, Guidance & Progression Co-Ordinator to support the Careers Leader with the planning and implementation of a whole school Careers Strategy, to work with pastoral leaders to ensure Careers Information, Advice and Guidance opportunities are embedded within the pastoral curriculum, and to provide individual and small group Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to students at significant stages in their GCSE options, Post 16 and Post 18 options. The new post-holder will also oversee the administration of the Work Experience Programme for students in Y10 and Y12. You will spend three days a week on CIAG and two days a week working as general office admin.
The new post holder will join an enthusiastic School Administration team, and will share some general responsibilities and tasks with the other members of the team. S/he must be able to work professionally under pressure to meet deadlines, and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school. Excellent communication skills are essential as is enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to play an active role in the life of the school.
Core hours are from 8.00 am to 3.30 pm and an additional 1 hour is to be worked everyday from 3.30 – 4.30 pm. These additional hours can be accrued and used as time in lieu during school holidays when the school office is quiet (or the school is closed).
You will be required to work on (but not limited to) National GCSE and A-levels Results Days each academic year, as well as providing evening support for Year 7 & Sixth Form Open Evenings – dates vary each academic year.

Successful Candidates will have:
- Experience of providing progression and careers advice / other guidance to young people
- An interest in the care of young people and their progression in career pathways
- A Levels, and GCSE passes in English and Maths, or equivalent, and an excellent standard of written English
- Excellent ICT and organisational skills
- Customer service experience
- A professional attitude and excellent attendance
