We are looking for inspiring History Teacher (with the potential for additional responsibilities within the department) to work at Ealing Fields CoE High School, within our successful multi-academy Trust based in the Borough of Ealing. We offer comprehensive CPD, exciting development opportunities and good promotion prospects for our teachers. 

The school offers a diverse history curriculum which aims to teach our students to be powerful conceptual thinkers. The basis of good history is a strong argument and our curriculum asks students to question and interrogate the value of evidence from the past, create their own arguments and question the arguments of others, as they learn about a wide variety of historical topics relating to both Britain and the wider world. At Ealing Fields, history is a very popular subject at GCSE with students studying the AQA specification.  

Ealing Fields CoE High School has consistently ranked in the top 1% of school nationally over the last five years for the progress of its students, and the Trust has been recognised as the number one multi-academy Trust in the country for the progress of its disadvantaged students. The new post-holder will join a dynamic, ambitious and enthusiastic staff group that seeks to deliver an outstanding curriculum and will be well supported by an experienced Senior Leadership Team. For the right candidate additional responsibilities within the department can be created with appropriate TRLs and we would be happy to share and discuss this at interview on a 1:1 basis. The job description would be adapted inline with the conversation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to teach History to at least KS4
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the National Curriculum
  • An understanding of recent curriculum / learning developments
  • An understanding of the strategies required to motivate and enthuse all students across the ability range as part of a whole school approach to raising achievement
  • An understanding of the processes and techniques required to assess, record and report students’ learning effectively
  • Ability to be reflective and driven towards self-improvement
  • A commitment to the ethos of the school

Ealing Fields High CE High School, Ealing

Ealing Fields CE High School is part of the Twyford CofE Trust which is the highest performing Trust in the country.  The school, and Trust, offers good promotion prospects for motivated and energetic leaders who support the ethos of our schools. Ealing Fields CE High School was opened as a Free School in 2016 and became part of the Twyford CE Academies Trust on 1st September 2017.  Ealing Fields is the smallest of the Trust schools, with 168 in each Year Group and therefore often feels more like a family than a school. The staff community is very positive, highly motivated and fully engaged in professional development.  The school moved to its brand-new permanent site in Northfields in September 2020 and achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.3 for the last four years. Twyford CE Academies Trust

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact Church of England multi-academy Trust which comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing.  The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.
