About The Role

 
Numeracy Teaching Assistant  – 1 year fixed term contract

 Salary: Grade 6, Scale point 18-20 (For example, the Grade 6, point 18 starting salary for term-time only for up to 35 hours per week is £31,683 pa).

Numeracy Teaching Assistants are required to support students in Years 7 – 11 with Education Health and Care Plans and to take the lead responsibility for students with learning and behavioural difficulties. 

All applications are welcome however these roles may particularly suit graduates hoping to progress to School Direct teacher training. The Twyford Trust is the ‘hub’ for the Ealing Teaching School Alliance and is therefore extremely experienced in supporting training and development for beginning teachers, and new and experienced teachers at all stages of their career.

Roles are up to 35 hours per week however part-time applications can be considered, particularly for three or four days per week.  Exact hours per week will be discussed and agreed at interview and the salary will therefore be a pro rata figure according to the hours worked.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Recent experience of working with secondary age children, ideally over a year.
  • A sensible attitude, with the ability to be flexible, reflective and find solutions
  • Energy and enthusiasm

Twyford CE Academies Trust

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact Church of England multi-academy Trust which comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing.  The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.
