Salary: Grade 5, Scale Point 12-15 (£27,231- 28,441)

Hours: 32 hours 50 minutes per week, Term Time Only

 We are looking to appoint a committed professional to the role of Teaching Assistant at Twyford Church of England High School. Twyford Church of England High School, the founding school in the Twyford CE Academies Trust, is a secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 in Acton, West London.  The school has an excellent reputation and is rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted (October 23). The Twyford CE Academies Trust is the top performing Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in the country for pupil progress.

 Teaching Assistants are required to support EHCP students in Years 7 – 13.

All applications are welcome, however these roles may particularly suit graduates who are considering a career in teaching. Teach West London (the Teaching School Hub for the four boroughs of Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow) is part of Twyford CofE Academies Trust and we are therefore extremely experienced in supporting those who wish to enter into Initial Teaching Training (ITT).

About the school

Twyford CE High School 

Twyford Church of England High School is the founding school of the Twyford CE Academies Trust which is the highest performing Trust in the UK.  It has developed specialisms in Music and Modern Foreign Languages and a reputation for excellence which has made it heavily oversubscribed. Twyford has very strong Christian foundations and is rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted (October 2023) and was very successful in its SIAMS inspection (November 2024).

Twyford educates 1000 students in years 7-11 and consistently achieves outstanding GCSE results with a Progress 8 score of +1.26 in 2023 and +1.1 in 2024. Twyford’s students achieve strong results with 81% of students achieving a grade 5 or above in English and Maths, and an Attainment 8 score of 67 in 2025. The school has a large Sixth Form of over 650 students and offers a wide range of A-Levels with strong results across the 25 subjects on offer. In 2025 nearly 50% of A levels were graded A* or A and over 75% graded B or above.

The majority of Sixth Form students progress to university taking a wide range of routes including competitive courses such as Medicine and Engineering at Oxbridge and top Russell Group universities. There is also an Additional Resourced Centre for students with EHC Plans, mainly focused on students with Autism and Speech & Language difficulties. Twyford CE Academies Trust

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact Church of England multi-academy Trust which comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing.  The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.
